A combined Teaching and Eco project!
This project was initiated by Openmind Projects some years ago to support home stay tourism and wildlife protection. The Phu Wua Wildlife Reserve is located close to the Mekong River 165 km east of Nong Khai. Volunteers help support community based eco tourism at the grass roots level and to promote wildlife protection while teaching English to children and adults.
Depending on their preferences volunteers work with villagers and local schools teaching English, helping to improve trekking opportunities and information, and/or improving home stay services.
