The Center is the only organization in Laos dedicated to helping disabled women, many of whom have been injured as a result of munitions (especially cluster bombs) dropped by the U.S. during the Vietnam War. The trainees are disabled young woman from poor families who learn to work and earn a living on their own. It has a large facility for training and short-term accommodation.
