Volunteer in Thailand! Overseas volunteers are welcome to Teach English or IT, computer skills, support Community based Eco Tourism, volunteer in Conservation and Health and Child Care projects in villages, towns, on islands in South Thailand!

You choose your costs and the services you want. We offer the flexibility to volunteer either as a Supported or as an Independent Volunteer.  Why pay $60-90 per day like some major Western volunteer organizations charge?  You only need pay $22 per day with Openmind Projects in Thailand for a two month placement with our Support option.  We offer low volunteer in Thailand fees that don't empty your pockets!  

Openmind Projects  supports villages, schools, national parks, orphan homes and other projects and we invite overseas volunteers to teach English, computer skills and volunteer at eco projects and other activities too. We also support child and health care projects.

The projects and volunteer placements in Thailand are located in the poor Northeast Thailand (Isan), South Thailand and Western Thailand (with many Burmese refugees, migrants, Karen and other hill tribes).

Want to stay in NongKhai with our local staff and trainees, teach English and computer skills spend some time at another project in NongKhai too.


 


Or stay at our Volunteer House in Krabi in South Thailand by the sea and volunteer at a local project, school, on an island, at a temple or in a village.
 
Experience the  unique Isan (Northeast Thailand) culture first hand!  Saithongwithaya school is one of several schools supported by Openmind Projects for volunteers to learn about real Isan culture, like the Bungfai (rocket) festival in the Fall and Boon Pawet (celebrating a reincarnation of Buddha) festival in March.  Surrounded by rice fields the village provides a peaceful location for relaxing during your free time.

Great opportunity to teach young children and experience life in a small rural town!  At Nonghan school you have the chance to work and stay with a very dedicated and active teacher, Vicki, who is very dedicated to her pupils.  Past volunteers have greatly enjoyed her hospitality and energy.

Teach and take care of children at the Hat Kam Wattana Kindergarten


Here you can stay at our Training Center in Nong Khai while helping in a small Isan village.  The school is located by the Mekong River in a picturesque landscape.  The students' parents are mostly poor rice and vegetable farmers.  Along your way to school you'll see them growing vegetables and herbs to sell in the local market.

 

Great opportunity for nature lovers who want to live in a village teaching English and supporting community based eco tourism!  This is a combined teaching and eco project.
 

 

 Teach English at the Ban Dung Wittaya Secondary School
Here you have a chance to teach older students while staying in a small town with a host family in Isan, the poorest area of Thailand.



 
 

You can also volunteer at other projects such as temples, orphan homes, in villages, national parks, by the Mekong River in North and South Thailand.
