Volunteer Application Process – A few easy steps away from your life time adventure and being the change!

There are 6 steps to follow before starting to volunteer. The first step is to apply from our website. We charge no application/registration fee! Then the other steps are made by email.

1. Application online
You apply from our website: http://www.openmindprojects.org/volunteer_apply.php. In that application you tell us more about yourself and the type of work, project/s you are looking for. We reply to you by email and suggest/confirm a project and ask you to read get more volunteer information from our online Projects information Packages
2. Selection of a project
You confirm a project or select another one. We reply to you and send you payment instructions and volunteer conditions.

3. Payment of a deposit
You pay a 25% deposit, or full fee, and confirm to us. We send you our online Pre Departure Handbook, with information about volunteering, work, travel, visa, SE Asian culture and Thai language as well as with information about the Volunteer Training and phone numbers to reach us on arrival.

4. Full payment one month before arrival
You pay any remaining volunteer fee at least one month before start.

5. Confirmation of travel plans
You send us your final travel plan and planned arrival date at least 2 weeks before you arrive . If for for the 3-day Cross Culture Training in NongKhai (North East of Thailand) you are welcome the day before start. We reply, resend information about the Training and phone numbers to reach us when arriving.

6. 3-day Cross Culture Training
You attend the 3-day Cross Culture Training, if you volunteer in a project located in Thailand, Laos or Cambodia. In Nepal, you get a one-day introduction. We train you to become a successful and appreciated volunteer.
