Teach English in Cambodia at Phum Chhuk Village.English and Health Care at two Cambodian schools 25 km from Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.A beautiful and authentic Khmer village in the countryside with very friendly people who live in typical Khmer houses. English is taught to the children by volunteers and two English speaking highly motivated Cambodian boys from the village. A small wooden Khmer house serves as a volunteer house. The dental status of the children is quite poor so you should also teach and train basic hygiene and health.

Child and Health Care in Cambodia.Teach English at the Hope for Cambodian Children Home in Battambang town.It was founded by a Khmer monk as a response to the growing number of AIDS orphans. New facilities with nice facilities provide a very good learning environment for the children and teenagers. The younger ones stay in family like houses with their ‘siblings’ and a house mother. Today the orphanage has around 100 children, ranging from infants to 16 year olds who have lost their parents, were abandoned, or street children. The Home also supports and visits other schools and orphan homes. Volunteers stay in a separate house in town.

Volunteer overseas in Cambodia.Help disabled Cambodian landmine victims.A very large number of people have been and are still being disabled by landmines planted in the ground by the Khmer Rouge, the US and Vietnam during the war years. Many disabled cannot fend for themselves but are destitute and resort to begging. Many cannot find a job. They are turned down because they are disabled. Some have special talents. The local NGO, Association for the Disabled, has trained some to be musicians, other to be carpenters and making handicraft. Disabled and talented people with no or low level of education lack the resources to pursue any higher education and are stuck in the poverty trap. We are preparing an initiative focused on supporting talented and motivated young landmine victims to be trained for office work and tourist guide jobs in the Angkor Wat, Siem Reap area. Interested volunteers should Contact Us for project details and plans.
