Volunteer Teaching in Thailand

Volunteer teaching in Thailand at a Training Center

Volunteer at our Training Center in Thailand

We offer scholarships for young people from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar to learn English, IT and other useful skills with us and volunteers.

This is also where we arrange for our popular Learning Camps for underprivileged, rural students from Southeast Asia.

We help young people and volunteers help us help them!

Volunteers at our Center can also teach at schools, work with our staff, take part in our camps. Some volunteers help us improve our work for local people and overseas volunteers.

This is also where we arrange our free Volunteer and Cross Culture Training for new volunteers.

Getting out of your comfort zone? Learning by doing with us, helps you!

You learn about culture, language and volunteering by doing. We go outside the classroom, to the market, eat on the street, speak local, teach at a school. Practical training for Southeast Asia volunteers that makes you feel more comfortable and very welcome!

Our Center is located in NongKhai, the Northeast of Thailand, the heart of Indochina, by the Mekong River. An hour from Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and 40 minutes from the nearest airport in Udon Thani, Thailand.

Volunteer Teaching Work

Volunteers and interns are welcome to stay and volunteer at our Center where our trainees and some of our staff stay, learn and and work.

Volunteers can train our trainees at the Center. They teach English, IT, presentation but also other skills such as emailing, gardening, organic farming, health care, first aid.

Some volunteers teach at a local school or temple or volunteer at a health center.

Many volunteers multi-task by working with our trainees and teaching at a school.

Openmind Projects Training Center is not only a center for learning. It's also where we work to make volunteer teaching easier and better.

This is also where volunteers help out and work with our staff in our popular Learning Camps.  Every April and October campers from Thailand, Laos, Myanmar/Burma join to learn together with Openmind Projects and volunteers in our learning camps.

Volunteers and interns with special skills help us improve and develop learning tools and methods, websites and databases, other IT, and also eco-tourism, conservation ideas to help field projects.
